At first glance, Rayyaan was like a big, friendly teddy bear—always ready with a warm hug and infectious enthusiasm. I met him at school, and something about him instantly sparked my curiosity. He wasn’t just tall, funny, and full of energy—he was the personification of what my parents hoped I could be. I just had to get to know him better.
He was good at everything! But he loved maths, and I was GOOD at maths. You can sure believe that I used that as my secret weapon to get him hooked. The more I got to know Rayyaan, the more layers I discovered. He was full of surprises, and each one made me admire him more. It wasn’t easy at first—he was hard to impress—but in the end, he showed me a love that was nothing short of genuine.
Rayyaan has always accepted me for exactly who I am—and with him, I’ve found a love that keeps growing.
Her Journey
It all started quite some time ago. Two strange high-school kids sitting in an AP maths class. I, staring at a screen, trying to figure out how to integrate and Vass sitting on the other side of the room trying to figure out how to integrate herself into my life. Unfortunately, my high school self was solely focused on studying and as a result, was completely unaware of this young woman's persistent advances (I thought she was just friendly).
Until I received a message in a bottle that read "Will you be my valentine unless you have someone else. Then don't worry." hands down one of the worst attempts at shooting your shot, but she definitely hit me square between the eyes. Since then, we've had multiple ups and downs, but we have persevered through it all, choosing each other in every instance. They say that the best thing you could do is marry your best friend, and I'm blessed that I get to do just that. ❤️
